I made some good progress this week, wrapping up the Spanish Succession, working on a little terrain, and starting on a exciting new project. Watch out for the Spanish Succession painting guide later this week.
What have I been painting?
First up is not painting, but a terrain project. I made some streams/rivers depending on what scale I’m using them for. I used the method from the tutorial at https://www.6mmacw.com/roads-and-rivers.html.
Second, I started on a new big project, 10mm American Revolutionary War!! I am painting the armies for Guilford Courthouse, using the rules Live Free or Die. This week I primed the British Army, and painted the Regiment Von Bose, a Hessian mercenary regiment, and the 71st Regiment of Foot, a scottish highlander regiment.
What have I been playing?
This week I got in a game of Schwerpunkt, which is an operational set of rules being developed by a friend of mine. We played the Third Battle of Kharkov, part of Manstein’s famous operation in 1943. However, the Germans did not meet their historical success, and were crushed by a Soviet counterattack.
