After a great Thanksgiving, it was time to get back to work. Here’s what I’ve been up to, as always, thanks for following along.
What have I been Painting?
So you might be wondering why I’m still painting 10mm AWI even though I said I was done, but I just have a few units to paint that will allow me to do a couple other scenarios. So I’m finishing up a couple odds and ends, some militia, light infantry, artillery, and Washington’s legion.
I also attempted to make a new game mat out of a tan plush blanket. I was hoping for a green European style field, but I only had 1 green spray can, so I need to make a trip to the hardware store to darken it down a little bit.
Here before you lays my next big project, 6mm Thirty Years War! I am very excited and am working on a homebrew set of rules for the period that will allow me to play the big battles with a reasonable time commitment, table, and number of units, while still capturing the flavor of the period.
What have I been Playing?
This week a played a game of Schwerpunkt, an operational level WW2 game. It was a blast, we played Operation Luttich, a German counterattack in Normandy, it was a German victory that was contested till the last second. Schwerpunkt is currently under development, if you’d like to be involved in the playtesting process, contact the author at [email protected].
